Rosso is a study in a single, saturated color. The kurta, a long flared tunic in crimson tissue silk, is cut in vertical panels that open into a soft A-line, so the fabric moves with you rather than holding a fixed shape. Design Details
That same stone border runs along the hem and finishes the bell sleeves, which fall wide from the elbow and reveal emerald green on the underside as you move. Across the front, back and sleeves, slender pendant-shaped motifs are spaced in vertical lines, each ending in a floral cluster of gold-toned work set with red and green stones. Their placement follows the panel seams and draws the eye downward, lengthening the frame. All of the work is done by hand, combining kora and dabka, both fine coiled metallic threads, with resham silk-thread embroidery, beads and stones.
Wide-leg pants in the same crimson complete the set and keep the silhouette long and uninterrupted from shoulder to floor. Tissue silk gives both pieces a fluid drape and a soft sheen that catches light without reading as glossy.
