Description
Why You'll Love It
- Zardozi medallions designed to read like a pendant necklace
- The same pendant design on the back, so it works from every angle
- An easy, full-length kaftan shape with a side slit
- Turquoise beads and deep red drops for color within the gold
Jordan is a full-length kaftan in black tissue silk, cut straight and easy from a wide boat neckline to the ankle, with long, flared sleeves and a side slit that lets it move. The tissue silk falls in long, soft lines and catches the light at every fold.
Design Details
Its ornament is designed like jewelry. A border of gold motifs, set with deep red drops and small turquoise beads, traces the neckline. Below it, a heart-shaped medallion filled with gold lattice leads into a second, smaller one, then a fine gold line that ends in a final motif and drop, so the work hangs down the front like a long pendant necklace.
The same pendant design runs down the center back, so the kaftan has a focal point from either side, and matching borders of gold motifs with red drops edge the sleeves and the hem.
All of it is hand-embroidered in zardozi, a raised metallic embroidery, with beads and drops adding color.
Occasion & Origin
Designed by PEERAAN and made in Pakistan, Jordan suits formal dinners, Eid evenings, wedding events as a guest and gala events, and needs little more than a pair of gold earrings.
