Sapphire is built on a bold color block. The tussar silk kurta begins in a deep olive green and gives way, around the knee, to sapphire blue, the two shades meeting at an embellished border that circles the hem.
Design Details
At the center of that border, a large paisley motif crosses the color line, its outline worked in gold and its center filled with blue and pink, so the green and blue read as one design rather than two separate panels. The same palette frames the V-neckline and drops in a slender pendant motif down the center front. A matching paisley sits on each sleeve, and the wide sleeves finish in embellished borders at the wrist. The hand embroidery combines naqshi, kora and dabka, all fine metallic threadwork, with resham silk thread, stones and small drops.
A sheer sapphire organza dupatta, finished with a small embellished motif and a solid blue border, completes the look, with matching blue tussar silk pants beneath the kurta.
The tussar silk has a soft, liquid sheen that deepens both colors as the light moves across them.

All Peeraan Studio pieces are made-to-order. Production begins immediately after an order is placed. Orders are dispatched within up to 4 weeks from the date of order placement.
